CPR Certified
During a Marine Science summer camp, we learned about CPR and choking. While attending the camp, I got CPR certified and then years later in high school, I renewed my CPR certification.
Certified Red Cross Babysitter
Before I started babysitting and house sitting, I went through a day class to be educated on the proper ways to handle babysitting and issues that come about with it. At the end of the day session, I received a paper certificate.
Greek Life
Through my membership in a sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, it has given me lots of leadership opportunities. I have served on various committees, including planning for a senior event and helping set up events. I also received an elected position called New Member Education Assistant in which I assisted the head educator and helped facilitate a new member class. This new member class taught the new members leadership and communication skills, as well as learning about our community. I was also elected parlimaterin of my sorority, which gave me the confidence and leadership I have today. I am currently in charge of my chapters bylaws and dress code, making sure every meeting we have runs smoothly. My sorority has also given my opportunities to volunteer for Girls on the Run (fall 2015), Hopes Children’s Home (spring 2016), University of South Florida’s SOS (fall 2015/2016), and Bulls for Kids (spring 2016/2017).
